A New Artistic Journey Begins
The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History invites you to experience the vibrant beauty of nature through art. On January 26, 2025, at 2 p.m., the Culture Center located within the State Capitol Complex in Charleston will unveil the highly anticipated exhibition, West Virginia Wildlife. The event includes a reception, culminating in an awards ceremony that celebrates the talent of local artists.
Celebrating Local Talent
This exhibition marks the third installment in the Inspired: A West Virginia Series of Juried Exhibitions, a showcase dedicated to the diverse themes influenced by the state’s natural surroundings. Twenty-six talented artists, hailing from 15 different counties, will display a collective of 32 remarkable pieces, embracing various mediums like painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, digital illustration, and mixed media.
Accessible Art for All
Visitors can enjoy the exhibit free of charge, immersing themselves in the stunning interpretations of West Virginia’s wildlife. The display will occupy the Lower Lobby and Commissioner’s Gallery of the Culture Center until May 9, 2025. Light refreshments will be offered, enhancing the overall experience for attendees.
